Had another check-up today - went great - heard baby's heartbeat, it's in the 140's so am happy with that. That is the most magical sound. I love it and will never get tired of hearing it.
And I've also only gained 1.5 pounds since my last appointment - given that by around 8 weeks I had gained TEN pounds plus ..(although I think some of that was IF treatment cycle related too) but anyways - I've definitely slowed down, at least for now, and that's not a bad thing. Especially given that I think I look pretty darn big for not being ALL that pregnant.
So, anyway, all is well. Big ultrasound on June 30 - less than two weeks!

Great news on your u/s! I am curious about the big u/s. Any guesses on what you're having??!
-trinny (nestie)
Trinny - I think it's a boy. They took a guess at our 12 week u/s - we had a really nice, fun u/s tech - so we'll see if her early guess was right!!
How was the wedding? Distracting?! Two more weeks for the 'big one'! I'd love to hear your guess too!
Or you could do a poll on heartrate and gender here to pass the time?! LOL, anthing to get two weeks here quicker!
Did they have you on progesterone suppositories? If so, when did you stop using them? I am supposed to stop today. I am 12 weeks but I am very anxious and afraid. It has almost been like a safety net for me, but the RE insists I stop. My OBGYN agreed and doesn't seem concerned. I am concerned and I keep finding different answers as to when the placenta takes over progesterone production? Any ideas?

Melisha I stopped right at 12 weeks .. I was nervous too .. but all is well! Truly - by 12 weeks your babies' placenta (placentas? do twins each have their own or share one? i have no idea!!) anyway - truly - whether it's one or two - it is by now producing enough of its own hormones to support the pregnancy. I really think you're OK to quit and you KNOW I wouldn't say that unless I believed it! CONGRATS on hitting 12 weeks!!!! That is fantastic!!! :-)
Thanks one out of six! You always make me feel better. Each twin has a placenta. We were able to see both at the 10week u/s. Talk to you soon...Melisha
